Each year Dublin Bus launches it's programme to support organisations such as ours by donating unclaimed bus fare receipts. Our club applied for funding to roll out a 'Lamh' sign-language Programme for helpers and Alps members. Lamh is a manual sign system which is designed for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. http://www.lamh.org/
Patricia Kenna and Alps member Susan Murray attended on behalf of Dundrum Arch Club to collect €2,000 which will go towards the 'Lamh' programme. We are thrilled with our success and hope to have all helpers and Alps members trained by Feb 2012. Thank you Dublin Bus.
Check out our feature in the Herald newspaper on 21st Sept 11.
