Saturday 17th September 2016
It was a big 40th Anniversary of the Dundrum Arch Club. It was a super night and so all the members came along with our families around us. The helpers were wonderful and the best to get this wonderful event for the members.
The staff at the Royal Marine hotel were great to all the members from the Dundrum Arch Club and the meals were also lovely.
We we had a super photography machine the same way as a passport. But it was set up in a special way. That all the members got their photos taken there with fancy had and glasses in there. You put on a hat or anything you wanted to on the night and everyone got a copy.
The helpers went around the tables with some gifts from the Dundrum Arch Club celebration 40 years 1976-2016.
We had super people from Fair city. I got my photo taken with Hailey and her real name is Rebecca. But she is beautiful and a lovely person and most of the members for their photo taken with some of the stars from Fair City. I also got my photo taken with the Dundrum Lord Mayor.
Halloween comes around every year and all the members at the Dundrum Arch Club gets ready for the exciting part of a Halloween when they come along all dressed in their fancy costumes. There's a spot prize for the best fancy dress but you don't dress up to win, you dress up for the fun of it. We all dress up for a good night at the fancy dress party. At Dundrum Arch Club there's always good costumes at the club. It's the best arch club that we have on a Wednesday and DJ Jonathon that we have at the events. He comes along and plays his good music. At Christmas, Valentine's, Halloween and all other birthday parties. Jonathon is Superman, the best and we all love him. He is a special DJ who came into our hearts at the Dundrum Arch Club...written by Philomena O'Dowd

Trip to the Mansion House
Saturday 12th March 2016 was a beautiful sunny day with blue skies.
Some members of Dundrum Arch Club and three helpers met up at the Lucas stop in Dundrum at 9:30am and took a trip into town. We got off the Lucas at Stephens Green. We took a walk through the green and sang the song “Dublin Can Be Heaven”. We then walked over to the Mansion House.
This trip was part of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of ARCH Club. There was a lot of other Arch Clubs from around Dublin at the Mansion House. We all met the Lord Mayor. Her name is Criona Ni Dhalaigh. She is a lovely lady and she made a great speech and told us all about the history of the mansion house and all the rooms in it. We then all had a great walk around the house looking at everything. The house is 300 years old.
When the visit was over we all headed over to Milanos for lunch. It was super. It was a great trip.
At the end we had a bit of a sing song.
It was a fantastic day.

I am looking at Independent day with my Athlete friends to come and celebrate.
The big 40th Birthday at Dundrum Arch Club is around the same time this year.
Let's all come together and celebrate this wonderful event by bringing our mentors. Whoever is in Alps Special Olympics we could bring out for a meal or give them a gift to show them that we care.
Such excitement last night when Ireland's latest boyband 'Taken' showed up to play their latest single and 3 other songs at our club. They didn't stop there and stayed for over an hour signing autographs and taking photos with our members and some eager helpers. We wish them well with their career and hope they come back to see us all again someday.
On wed 25th Feb Irelands latest Boyband 'Taken' come to our club to sing their latest single and sign autographs for our members and maybe our helpers too..! Don't forget your camera ...
